Ok, I was surfing a bit and I came across this picture.

This picture just cracks me up more and more every time I look at it. The best part is the look on the kids face, he is having a blast! He’s got some cool parents.

It is nice to have weather that is bearable to be outside in. During August, September and the beginning of October, we get that Halloween “feeling” even though it is still hot outside. Is it how the dimming sun creates just the right length shadows? Is how nature seems to be exhausted from months of grueling hot weather? Or is it simply our over-active imaginations taking us away to ghosts, witches and aliens? I woke up the other night to what sounded like an old woman groaning on the floor of my closet…I wonder if it was just the cats outside fighting over fence position. Whatever the reason, nothing quite does it like when that first cool front comes through and the weather outside breaks even. I’m looking forward to this weekend, I think I’ll take some photographs (of some of our haunted houses), visit a costume shop and listen to Aphex Twin…with my window rolled down.
